Building Surveying
Babbage Building Surveying is dedicated to providing clients with a deep understanding of their built assets, enabling informed decisions on buying, selling, redeveloping, refurbishing, leasing, or remediation.
Our team comprises members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the New Zealand Institute of Architects and the New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors - each bringing extensive experience as arbitrators, mediators, and expert witnesses in construction disputes.
We conduct technical due diligence and pre-lease inspections for commercial and industrial properties, along with asbestos management surveys and asbestos management plans. Our assessments cover weathertightness of residential and commercial buildings, the performance and durability of building materials, and building maintenance obligations under the terms of a lease. Every report is conducted with independence and impartiality, ensuring objective, reliable insights.
When required, we serve as a single point of contact, integrating services across our in-house services such as architecture, structural engineering, building services engineering, and environmental, ensuring seamless project support.
